In the heart of the Gothic quarter, by Avinyon and Ample street with lots of trendy designer shops, a 10 minute walk to El Borne - a trendy area of the city with many workshops and boutiques of local artists and of course Barri Gotic, with its many streets, shops and cafés. Not to be missed: Plaza de la Mercé (Barcelona's patron Saint), Plaza Real, Las Ramblas, El Borne, Barcelona Harbour - Port Vell and the leisure centre - Maremagnum. Gothic style Cathedral (8 min), Roman ruins (6 min), and Plaza del Pi, a charming square full of artists and musicians, (3 min).
